I have worked in the HVAC industry most of my life. My grandfather ran Abbott Heating in Twin Falls in the 40's and 50's. I started out as an installer, moving to service, and in the past 12 years learned, in depth, the energy process and how to create a comfortable home environment. I have lived in the Boise area all of my life and am proud to say that I am married to my best friend and high school sweetheart for 29 years now. We have two fantastic adult kids. Sarah, works in the office of a local group of doctors. The summer of 2017 she will be getting married. Cody, has a job in sales at a tech firm in Salt Lake City. In my spare time I love camping, riding my ATV, puttering in my shop, camping and cheering on the Boise State Broncos! I am proud to represent this great company, giving a superior level of customer service.
I’ve enjoyed working for Western Heating for over 10 years. Enjoy helping our customers with their problems and finding the right solutions for them. Have been BPI, Building Performance Institute, certified. Proud of my Croatian heritage which dates back to the 1700’s! Married for over 30 years to my wonderful wife Gloria. Have a great daughter and son in law with two grandchildren. Enjoy spending my free time outdoors and love to fish, golf and trying to be a pit master on my smoker
Prior to joining out Project Management team, Sam had been with Western since 1994 as a licensed journeyman. He holds NATE certifications, EPA Universal, and gas piping. As an Idaho native I was raised in Magic Valley and graduated high school in 1992. I transferred to Boise State University after junior college and studied finance and business. I have been fortunate to assist homeowners with improvements for the last 20 years in various capacities. I became involved with heating/cooling 8 years ago after gaining experience in building performance. Sharing the same values of integrity and honesty, the move to Western was a natural fit. My passion is to create the best customer experience while providing the most appropriate solutions. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife and three kids. We love taking in everything Idaho has to offer! Mountain biking in the Foothills, salmon fishing, big game hunting, and camping in Donnelly is a few of our favorite activities.
I was born in Dallas, Texas and raised between Dallas and Twin Falls, Idaho. I graduated high school in the Dallas area in 2000, and then shortly after received an Associates Degree in Business Management from a small local junior college. Inevitably, I ended up here in the beautiful treasure valley in a Bachelors degree program at BSU where I was focusing on business administration and finance. I am currently a licensed HVAC professional, certified Carrier Indoor Air Quality Expert, and certified heat exchanger expert. I take pride in my job as a Project Manager here at Western and the amazing team we have. I truly believe we deliver the best products, services, and have the most highly trained and skilled professionals. I really love meeting with our clients, listening to and assessing their needs, and using my expertise to find the best fit for their home and their budget. When I’m not working, I can be found spending time with my beautiful wife Sabrina, or getting active with one of my kids skiing, playing baseball, soccer, or golfing. I’m an avid outdoor enthusiast, and enjoy outdoor activities such as fishing, bow hunting, hiking to mountain lakes, boating, camping, and anything else outdoors.
Zac, son of owner Bob Barnes, has been working here since he was a kid. He has experience in installation, sales and service before taking on the position as Commercial Accounts Manager. Zac works with horses on the weekends and loves being in the great Idaho outdoors. He has extended his education through NATE certifications in gas furnace, heat pump, and AC.

Maria was born in Utah and moved to Boise at the age of 12.
When she is not busy working and being a mother she likes to spend her free time sleeping, watching Walking Dead, playing outdoors, or cooking up an amazing meal. She attended Job Corps in Glide Oregon where she took Forrestry as her trade. There she was able to work on fires and learn different outdoor skills. She has been nomintated Employee of the Month twice in her time with us.
